Why montessori?

Today's parent has many choices when choosing their child's education which is not always easy.

For over 120 years Montessori education has been successfully serving children and families with a foundation backed by science.  So what does a Montessori education offer?

INDEPENDENCE

The Montessori classroom allows children to learn a skill, time to practice the skill which leads to mastery.  Each new skill gained offers a new choice for the child and an opportunity do for themselves as well as help or teach others.

TIME TO LEARN

Not everyone learn at the same pace.   Our environments allow every child to take as much time as they need to integrate the information they are learning.  Students have a 3 hour work cycle every morning wherein they may spend as much time as they need to work with the chosen material.

A WELL PREPARED GUIDE

Each guide( (teacher) is trained through the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), the only organization started by Dr. Maria Montessori herself in 1929.  Our guides see themselves as the most important material in the environment and strive to provide a living example of humanity.
